1. Firmly hold the chainsaw to reduce or eliminate the element of surprise
against kickback. Sudden surprise contributes to accidents.
2. When the engine is running, keep the chainsaw firmly gripped with both
hands, the right hand on the back handle and the left hand on the front handle.
Use a firm grip with your thumbs and your fingers encircling the handles. A firm
grip will help you to reduce kickback and to maintain the control of the chainsaw.
3. Make sure you keep the working area free from obstacles. While using the
chainsaw do not let the guide bar get in contact with other trunks or branches or
any other obstacle near the working area.
4. Always begin to cut with the engine at full speed.
5. Do not cut above shoulder height.
6. Follow manufacturer´s chain sharpening and maintenance instructions.
7. Only use specific replacement bars and chains from the manufacturer.
