D. STARTING A WARM ENGINE
When you want to turn the chainsaw on again after stopping it, move the switch to (I) position,
leave the air´s handle at (b) position (normal work position) and pull the starting rope. If after
several attempts it has not started, follow the starting a cold engine steps from step nº 3.
E. VERIFICATION OF THE OIL LEVEL
After starting the engine, turn the chain on into a medium speed and check if the chain´s oil
disperses as is shown in the picture.
Chain´s Oil
automatically by the inertia force that will act on the weight that is placed inside the front
protection.
This brake can be activated if the front protection is pushed forward towards the guide bar,
either manually (by hand) or automatically (by sudden movement).
To release the break, pull the front protection backwards to the front handle until you hear a
"clic".
Warning!
Make sure to verify the brake´s operation during the daily inspection.
How to confirm it:
1. Turn the engine off.
2. Holding the chainsaw in horizontal position, release your hand from the front handle, strike
the end of the guide bar on a piece of wood and confirm the brake´s operation. The operation´s
level varies depending on the size of the bar.
In case the brake doesn´t work correctly, take the chainsaw to a Garland technical service.
If the engine keeps turning at high speed with the brake activated, the clutch will over heat and
cause breakages.
When the brake is on, release the accelerator´s trigger immediately to stop the engine.

SAWING

Before you start working, read the "for a safety use" section. It is
recommended to practice sawing easy trunks first. This will help you to
familiarize yourself well with the machine.
Always follow the safety instructions. The chainsaw is to be used just
to cut wood. It is not allowed to cut another type of material. The
vibrations and the kickback vary with different materials and the
requirements of the safety instructions would not be respected. Do not
use the chainsaw like a handle to elevate, move or to divide objects.
