Warning
The service screw (for draining off condensate fluid) in equipment ≥ DN 350 may be pressurized. Any
medium which sprays out may cause injury to operators.
If the equipment fails and the housing cover is opened, hazardous material may escape. Depressurize
the piping before opening. This also applies to removing HU electrodes for cleaning purposes.

Returns
If you wish to send the equipment to the ABB parent company in Göttingen for repairs or re-calibra-
tion, use the original packaging or a suitable secure transport container. Please specify the reason
for returning the equipment.
All flow recorders and/or flow Converters delivered to ABB for repairs must not contain any traces of
hazardous substances (acids, lyes, solvents, etc.). In order to ensure this, the hazardous substances
should be rinsed out of all cavities, e.g. between measurement pipe and housing and neutralized.
When working with flow recorders ≥ DN 350, the service screw (for draining off condensate fluid) on
the lower housing point should be opened to dispose of hazardous substances and/or to neutralize
the coil and electrode chamber. These measures should be confirmed in writing in the accompany-
ing papers.
If the person responsible for these hazardous substances is not able to completely remove them, the
equipment should be returned with the necessary accompanying papers. The owner of the equip-
ment will be invoiced for any costs which ABB may incur through the disposal of hazardous sub-
stances during repairs.
