Problems and error codes
i
Other possible malfunctions are primarily of a technical nature and are to be checked and if necessary rectified
by a qualified engineer. Always contact the customer service of your authorized equipment dealer.
i
To enable action to be taken quickly, it is important to inform customer service of the specifications on the
rating plate (label on the flange end of the WBE 4120 / WBE 4120 D / WBE 4120 DT) and the nature of the
problem.

Problems
The machine does not turn on
The machine does not turn on although you are
closing the carter or pressing START.
After the launch, the machine does not brake.
After the engine starts, it does not stop (even
if you turn the machine on and off, the engine
starts immediately).
Unbalance values are not steady if you make
several consecutive launches on the same
wheel (variations higher than 5 gr.).
The board has lost the calibration and configu-

One or more calibration or configuration steps

have not been made.
The protecting carter has been lifted up before

the end of the measure.
During the spin (when you pressed START or

lowered the carter) the wheel was turning
backwards.
Inverted windings of the engine.

Causes and possible solutions
+
Absence of power supply from the outside or absence of a
phase. Check that the phase and the neutral are connected to
the balancing machine.
+
Break of the fuse F3 in the electric circuit (see the wiring dia-
gram N. 654144). Substitute the fuse F3 with other identical
fuses having the same characteristics: 2,5A 250V 5X20 glass. A
new break of the fuses involves a malfunction in the electrical
part.
+
Break of the fuses F1 – F2 on the board (see the wiring diagram
N. 654144). Substitute the fuse F1 and/or F2 with other iden-
tical fuses having the same characteristics: F1 (500mAT 5X20
glass) F2 (400mAT 5X20 glass). A new break of the fuses in-
volves a malfunction in the electrical part.
+
Substitute the board (chapter 9).
+
Check the electric circuit with a tester (See diagram N.
654144).
+
Check the micro switch of the carter (chapter 8.5).
+
Check the gear relay
+
Check the engine and the condensers. (chapter 8.3).
+
Substitute the board. (chapter 9).
+
Check the two brake relays.
+
Substitute the board (chapter 9)
+
Check the relay whose contact could remain blocked.
Substitute the board (chapter 9).
+
NOTE: In order to understand if the problem is the relay or the
board, you need to remove the board connector from the circuit. If
the problem persists, check the relay and the board.
Recalibrate the balancing machine (chapter 7).
+
Check the tension and the phase of the pick-ups. (chapter 8.1
and chapter 8.4.1).
+
Check the correct locking of the wheel on the flange.
Recalibrate the balancing machine (chapter 7).
+
Make the missing calibrations steps. (chapter 6 and chapter .5).
+
If the error persists, substitute the board.
+
Before lifting up the protecting carter, wait until the launch of
the measure has been completed.
+
Check the micro switch. (chapter 8.5).
Be sure that the wheel is not moving during the start. Anyway, do
not turn it backwards during the start.
Verify the correct connection of the engine. (chapter 8.3).
Check the net tension and the wiring diagram N. 654144).
Substitute the electronic board. (chapter 9).
Substitute the engine or the condenser. (chapter 8.3).
Repeat the calibration procedure from the beginning and apply the
calibration weight when the calibration requires to. (chapter 2.5).
Check the connection of the pick-ups. (chapter 8.1 and chapter
8.4.1).
