Preparing the Lancing Device

STEP 1: Remove the cap by twisting it off.
STEP 2: Insert a Sterile Lancet into
the Lancing Device. Insert the lancet
into the lancet holder and push down
firmly until it is fully seated. Do not
twist the lancet. See Figure 23.
STEP 3: Remove the protective cap
from the lancet by twisting it.
Save the protective cap for later
use. See Figure 24.
STEP 4: Replace the cap onto the Lancing Device.
Screw the cap until it is snug but not too tight.
