POLARIZED PLUG

This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). As a safety feature, this plug will
fi t into a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not fi t fully into the outlet, reverse the plug. If it
still does not fi t, contact a qualifi ed electrician. Do not attempt to modify the plug in any way.
DO NOT DEFEAT THE SAFETY PURPOSE OF THE POLARIZED PLUG.
Special Cord Set Instruction:
1. A short power-supply cord (or detachable power-supply cord) is provided to reduce the risk resulting
from becoming entangled in or tripping over a longer cord.
2. Longer detachable power-supply cords or extension cords are available and may be used if care is
exercised in their use.
3. If a long detachable power-supply cord or extension cord is used,
a. The marked electrical rating of the detachable power-supply cord or extension cord should be at
least as great as the electrical rating of the appliance,
b. If the appliance is the grounded type, the extension cord should be a grounding-type 3-wire cord,
c. The longer cord should be arranged so that it will not drape over the countertop or tabletop where
it can be pulled on by children or tripped over.
Caution!
This appliance is for household use. Any servicing other than cleaning and user maintenance
should be performed by an authorized service representative.
• Do not immerse this coffee machine in water or any other liquid.
• To reduce the risk of fi re or electric shock, do not remove the base. No user serviceable parts inside.
Repair should be done by authorized service personnel only.
• Check voltage to be sure that the voltage indicated on the bottom agrees with your voltage.
• Never use warm or hot water to fi ll the water container, use cold water only.
• Never refi ll the water chamber while this coffee machine is running. Turn the coffee machine off before
refi lling with water.
• Do not place carafe on a hot surface or in a heated oven.
• Before turning on this coffee machine, please make sure that carafe sits fl at on inside circle of heating
plate.
• Never remove carafe before brewing is completely fi nished, i.e. dripping from the fi lter holder into the
carafe has stopped completely.
• Keep your hands and the cord away from hot parts of the machine during operation.
