installer according to the instructions provided on the sticker sheet.
2. DESCRIPTION
The instructions contained in this manual refer to the synchronous MXB-E 225 generators. Carefully read this
manual before operating the generator. This manual was written by expert technical electricians and mechanics
who have experience with generators of this size. The technical data and manufacturing features are reported in
the relevant catalog. Read the instructions contained in this manual to ensure the proper operations and use of
the generators. The MXB-E 225 generators are self-regulated and brushless synchronous generators that were
manufactured in compliance with the IEC 34-1 regulation.
Level of protection - features
The level of protection and nominal features are reported on the plate.
Frequency
The generators are designed to work at a frequency of 5or 6Hz, depending on the data reported on the plate to
ensure proper operations, whether at a frequency or the other, you must make sure that the calibrations of the
voltage regulator are suitable for the intended use and that the generators are used in accordance with the data
reported on the plates.
Accessories
The generators may be supplied with various accessories, such as anti-condensation heaters, thermistors,
thermo detectors Pt100, etc., depending on what you order.
3. HANDLING AND TRANSPORT
The generator is ready to be installed when shipped. We recommend you to inspect it thoroughly when it
arrives, in order to make sure it hasn't suffered any damage during transport. Any damage must be reported
directly to the carrier (and noted on the transport document) and to Marelli Motori. It is also best to send pictures
of the damage to the latter.
Use the special eyebolts to lift and handle the generator.
The eyebolts available on the generator are only suitable for lifting the generator and cannot be used
to lift the complete system.
Moreover, please make sure your lifting equipment is suitable for the weight of the generator and that
all handling safety measures are adopted.
While lifting and handling single bearing generators, make sure that the rotor is locked to the crate by
means of the special bracket in order to prevent it from falling out.
The eyebolt on the shield is only used to align the generator when coupling it to the drive motor.
The generator's weight is indicated on the plate.
If the generator is not immediately put in service, it must be stored in a sheltered, clean, dry and vibration-free
area.
4. STORAGE
4.1 Short-term storage (less than two months)
The machine must be stored in an appropriate and controlled environment. A good storage point is
