Operating Your Fan and Remote Control
Remote Control - Your fan is equipped with a remote control to operate
the speed, lights, and running direction of your new ceiling fan. For
more information on how to install the remote control, see the remote
control instructions with the remote control components.
The appropriate speed setting for warm or cool weather depends on
factors such as the room size, ceiling height, and number of fans.
The remote controls the direction the fan blades spin (forward or
reverse). If airflow is desired in the opposite direction, press and
immediately release the reverse button on the remote control. The fan
blades will turn in the opposite direction and reverse airfow.
Warm weather - (Forward) A downward airflow creates a cooling effect.
This allows you to set your air conditioner on a warmer setting without
affecting your comfort.
Cool weather - (Reverse) An upward airflow moves warm air off of the
ceiling. This allows you to set your heating unit on a cooler setting
without affecting your comfort.
NOTE: Do not wait for the fan to stop to press the reverse button. The fan
will not reverse if the fan is not moving.
Speed
The remote control features Low, Med, Hi, and Off buttons to select the
desired speed of operation and turn the fan On or Off.
Light
Turns the lights On/Off.
