• The packaging materials are recyclable and should be disposed of
in the separate trash bins.
• When the appliance reaches the end of its useful life, take it to a
special waste collection centre for its disposal.
• The user is responsible for having the appliance installed by a
qualified technician, who will ground it in accordance with the
governing local codes and will install a thermomagnetic circuit
breaker in the supply line.
• Always use the appliance with the air filter mounted. The use of
the conditioner without the air filter, could cause an excessive ac-
cumulation of dust in the interior of the appliance that could
cause damages.
• The direction of air must be properly adjusted. Louvers must be di-
rected downwards in the heating mode and upwards in the cool-
ing mode.
• Selecting a proper temperature can prevent damages to the appli-
ance.
• Use this air conditioner according to the instructions contained in
this manual. These instructions are not intended to cover every
possible condition and situation. As with any electrical household
appliance, common sense and caution should be used during in-
stallation, operation and maintenance.
• Before performing any cleaning or maintenance job, unplug the
appliance from the power supply. Also, unplug the appliance when
it will not be used for a long period of time.
• If the power supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by
the manufacturer or service agent or by qualified personnel
in order to avoid hazards.

• Do not bend, crush or compress the power cord. This could cause
electrical hazard to people and fire risks.
• Have the electric cord replaced by an authorized service man. Do
not use extension cords or a multiple outlet bar to connect the ap-
pliance.
• Do not touch the appliance when your body is wet or damp or
when your feet are naked.
• Do not obstruct air inlets and outlets of both indoor and outdoor
units. This will reduce its performance and possibly cause failures
or damages.
• Do not, under any circumstance, modify or alter the appliance.
• Do not install the appliance in an environment where the air could
contain gases, oil or sulphur or near sources of heat.
• Do not leave doors and windows open when the appliance is in
operation.
• A prolonged exposition to the flow of cold air could have negative
effects on plants and animals.
