Problem
The appliance won't oper-
ate
Abnormal odor
Running water sound.
Cracking sounds
A fine mist comes out
from the air outlet.
Insufficient airflow, either
too hot or too cold.
The appliance does not re-
spond to the remote con-
trol commands.
Display is off.
Possible cause
• Power failure. Power plug is not firmly
connected.
• Damaged evaporator/condenser motor.
• The compressor's thermomagnetic circuit
breaker is tripped.
• Faulty protective device or tripped fuses.
• The compressor protection feature won't
let the appliance work. Wait three min-
utes and try again.
• Power supply is lower or higher than the
required.
• TIMER ON feature is set.
• Damaged electronic control board.
Dirty air filter.
Back flow of liquid in the refrigerant circu-
lation.
This noise is made by the expansion and
contraction of the front panel due to tem-
perature variations and does not indicate a
problem.
This occurs when the air in the room be-
comes very cold, for example in the COOL-
ING or DEHUMIDIFYING/DRY modes.
• Unsuitable temperature setting.
• Obstructed air conditioner intake and
outlet ports.
• Dirty air filters.
• Fan speed set at minimum.
• Other sources of heat in the room.
• Not enough refrigerant in the circuit.
• Remote control is too far from indoor
unit.
• The batteries of remote control are very
low on power.
• Obstacles between remote control and
signal receiver in indoor unit.
• TIMER ON feature is set.
• Power failure.
