Programming/Enabling a Free Start
(VC2 Models Only)
An authorized person may set up any or all cycles as
"free" cycles by programming the vend amount as
"00" when programming or editing a cycle. An
authorized person may also give a customer one free
cycle by enabling a free start using the PROGRAM
switch.
Programming "00" Vend Amount
1. Enter "00" for vend amount for a cycle instead of
putting in an amount.
NOTE: If "1 Pr" is selected, setting vend amount to
"00" will cause all cycles to be "free," including test
cycle. If "16Pr" is selected, "00" may be
programmed for any of the individual cycles.
2. When a free cycle is selected, display flashes
"Cyxx" (cycle number) and then "FrEE" (vend).
Press the pound (#) key to start the free cycle.
All other cycles will begin automatically where the
vend is not zero for those cycles.
Enabling Free Start Using PROGRAM Switch
1. In the Run Mode, use Up or Down (arrow) key to
select cycle.
2. Flip PROGRAM switch into up position. This
places control in Program Mode. Display will
show temperature.
3. Press Down (arrow) key. Display will show
"FrEE".
4. Return PROGRAM switch to down position
(Run Mode). Display will flash "Cyxx" then
"FrEE".
5. Press pound (#) key to start cycle.
When cycle is complete, vend amount will return to
amount previously programmed.
Enabling free start applies for only ONE
programmed vend value. If control is set for "1 Pr"
(one vend amount) and cycle number is changed
after returning to Run Mode, "FrEE" will continue
to apply to new cycle number. If control is set for
"16Pr" (16 vend amounts) and cycle number is
changed, "FrEE" is disabled and will display
programmed vend for that cycle.
