For Models HC80VXV and
HC 18-60 VX2 with "Prepared for
Card Reader" Option
At start-up, the V-computer of models with the
"prepared for card reader" connection will display the
ID code "FCC6" or "vC2d". Before installation, the
card reader device must meet the criteria given below.
Disregard any statements about "coin 2" in the
operating/programming manual (supplied with
machine) except for the explanation on programming
the "coin 2" denomination.
IMPORTANT: Selection of an appropriate card
reader is the responsibility of the machine owner.
Card reader devices should be installed by
authorized personnel on site.

Electrical Requirements

The card reader must not provide any voltage to the
V-computer. All signaling must be isolated from the
card reader supply voltage. It is recommended the card
reader provide normally open isolated relay contacts
to connect to the "coin 2" input of the V-computer;
however, an optically isolated transistor may be
used with the emitter connecting to the V-computer
ground and the collector connecting to the V-computer
"coin 2" input. Refer to Figure 2 and Figure 3.
