– Beware of possibly re-
leased hot liquid or va-
pour, depending on fluid
temperature and system
pressure.
Beware of scalding!
– Protect electrical parts from leak-
ing water,
– Switch-on pump,
– After 15...30 secs close vent plug
again,
– Open isolating valve again.
CAUTION !
It is possible that the
pump shaft jams with the vent plug
open, depending on system pres-
sure.
– The pump can become
extremely hot, depend-
ing on the operational
state of the pump or the
pipe system (fluid tem-
perature).

6.2 Pre-start adjustments
– Direction of rotation check on
3-phase motors:
Remove central access plug at
the non-drive end of the motor.
Briefly switch on motor and check
whether sense of rotation corre-
sponds to the arrow on the name
plate; if necessary, change any
two phase wires.

– Manual speed change
1-phase motors: Any one of the
four available speed settings can
be manually selected by means of
the rotary switch at the motor ter-
minal box.
3-phase motors: Any one of the
four available speed settings can
be manually set by means of the
4-speed selector plug at the mo-
tor terminal box by undoing the
central screw, pulling-out the plug
and resetting it with the arrow
pointing at the desired speed set-
ting.
Ensure that power sup-
ply to the pump is switch-
ed off and secured from
unauthorized
before pulling out the
plug.

The pumps is maintenance-free.

8.1 Pump is switched on, but fails
to run:
– Check power supply fuses
– Check voltage at pump terminals
(refer to name plate data).
