RESIDUAL RISK

Important note: Although the safety instructions and tool operating manuals contain extensi-
ve instructions for safe work, each power tool carries a certain degree of residual risk that
cannot be fully controlled by the safety mechanisms. For this reason, power tools must always
be operated with great caution!
SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS FOR MAIN CHARGERS AND BATTERY PACKS
Chargers
- The charger is for indoor use only.
- Before plugging the charger into the power supply, check that the plug and cable are in good
condition. If any of them is damaged, replace the defective part immediately by a suitably qua-
li ed person. If the battery charger cover is damaged, it must be checked by suitably quali ed
personnel.
- Only use sockets with the correct power speci cation, do not connect to generators or direct
current sources.
- Use the appropriate Siefken charger together with its corresponding battery pack (see the
Siefken website for more information or to nd your nearest local dealer.
- Do not exchange any other type of battery with SIEFKEN chargers. Any other type of applica-
tion is considered misuse.
- Do not try to charge battery packs that are too hot (over 30 degrees C). If these conditions are
met, set the battery aside until normalized, and then continue with the charging operation.
- Install the charger and cable in a safe place where it will not receive shocks, pulls, etc., and
where it is well ventilated. Make sure the ventilation slots in the charger case are not obstruc-
ted when plugging the charger into the power outlet.
- Inspect the battery for damage, if there are no abnormalities, place them in the charger,
making sure they are in the correct orientation. (Most chargers and batteries have ("locks"),
etc., to make sure the battery pack was inserted correctly, if you have to "force" the battery
pack into the charger, you probably have it at backwards. check and try again.)
- Turn on the charger and verify that the corresponding led indicators light up, and allow the
battery to charge (see the speci c instructions for your charger). Once charging is complete,
turn o the charger, remove the battery and store it, repeat the procedure if you have to
charge more than one battery.
