STARTING UP THE MOTOR
Refer to the operating and maintenance
instructions for the motor.
You must always check the following each
time you intend starting up the motor:
- Fuel in the tank.
- Correct level of oil in the gearbox
(fig. 6, part. A).
- The gear lever (fig. 7, part, A) is in
neutral (N).
- Set the gas lever halfway.
- Make sure the switch is turned to on
(fig. 8, part. B).
- Put lever F (fig. 9) in its closed valve
position.
- Take hold of the starter handle (Fig. 9, part.
E) with one hand, pull gently until the ratchet
clicks on, then pull hard.
Do not release the cord abruptly once the
motor starts running: guide it back until it
has been fully rewound.
Put lever F back in its open valve position.
- To turn the motor off, turn the power-off
control (fig. 8, part. B) right or left.
