(fig.

Description
SAEL 2000 WL is a wireless siren (bidirectional radio transmission) equipped with acoustic advisor
and low consumption XENON flash. It can be programmed to function either as indoor or outdoor
siren.
Power supply is guaranteed by a 7.2V-13Ah lithium battery.
Data exchange with the control panel is bidirectional using two operating frequencies
(RX 868MHz - TX 433MHz).
Maintenance mode
In maintenance tamper control is disabled in order to permit opening of the casing.
The siren passes into maintenance if:
the control panel passes into maintenance (only if the siren has been learnt)
the battery is connected to the siren
Maintenance mode is left if:
the control panel quits maintenance mode itself (only if the siren has been learnt)
an alarm signal is received from the control panel
Learning
1) Put the control panel into maintenance mode
» Select the number of the siren
» Program the functional parameters
» Put the control panel into wait for Siren Learning
2) Open the cover of the siren and connect the battery.
» The siren passes automatically into maintenance mode.
3) Press the button LEARN that is positioned inside the siren casing
» The siren transmits its ID code.
» The yellow LED blinks.
4) Successful learning is viewed on the control panel.
» The control panel transmits its serial number (must be programmed prior to learning).
5) On reception of the control panel's serial number, if the learning has been completed
successfully, the siren emits a beep for confirmation.
» The green LED is lit whereas the yellow one is switched off.
ATTENTION - VERY IMPORTANT !
If you do not hear the beep, repeat the procedure from point 3 onwards.
6) Verify the communication with the siren by initiating the radio test Siren Connection on the
control panel
7) Verify siren sounding by arming the control panel and violating a zone
8) Close the cover
9) Quit the maintenance mode on the control panel.
Battery voltage check
Battery voltage check is done prior to every transmission. If battery charge drops below the limit of
low battery, the siren emits a sequence of sounds and transmits low battery signaling to the control
panel on every arming/disarming.
In case of low battery, it is recommended to replace immediately the battery. The siren, however,
continues to work but with a reduction of sound level proportionate to the reduction of battery
voltage.
Battery replacement
Put the control panel into maintenance
The siren passes automatically into maintenance mode and emits a low volume beep
Open the cover of the siren
The anti-opening tamper is disabled in maintenance.
Remove the battery and press the button TEST
Connect the new battery
The siren passes automatically into maintenance mode
Press the button TEST to check battery voltage of the new battery.
Verify that the yellow transmission LED is lit, then:
» Battery charged:
no sound signaling
» Battery discharged:
bitonal sound signaling
Verify the communication with the siren by initiating the radio test Siren Connection on the
control panel
Verify siren sounding by arming the control panel and violating a zone
Close the cover
Quit the maintenance mode on the control panel and check end of low battery signaling
