Power supply (see electrical circuit diagram attached)
Power supply must be removed prior to any intervention on the station.
Connection to the power supply must be carried out by the exploiting.
Connect vacuum plant for medical use to a backed-up power supply.
Note: Power supply failure will interrupt the production of vacuum.
The HOSPIVAC G vacuum units are equipped with a dual power supply. It is strongly
recommended that each power supply comes from a different TGBT.
Refer to the motors or stations rating plates in order to insure that the voltage used on site is that
required by the equipment.
Connect the two power supplies using a flexible electrical cable with a cross-section corresponding to
the type and number of vacuum pumps of the unit (see table below) on terminals L1 - L2 - L3 - N +
Earth.
For a composition with 3 pumps, there is one supply for pump A and another supply for pumps B and C.
For a composition with 4 / 5 / 6 pumps, there is one supply for A / C / E pumps and another supply for B
/ D / F pumps.
Power cables must be protected upstream using a surge protection device in accordance
with current legislation and standards of your country.
Check all the electrical connections and tighten if necessary before switching on the system.

A magneto-thermal starter as standard protects each motor.
Connect the synthesis alarm overview to a visual and/or audible alarm on the control unit.
The operation of a medical vacuum plant requires a power supply system to ensure the operation and
safety of the installation. In order to avoid the total loss of medical vacuum generation on, for example, a
differential disconnection due to a component grounding, two separate electric power supplies, distributed
between the motors, are installed.

The wire sections are given for information to 5A / mm
Even so, the sections shall be defined by taking contacts with the wire provider.
They depend:
of the wire type,
of the length,
of the room temperature,
of the wire path.
Electric motor of the vacuum pump
Feed the electric motors of the pumps by connecting the terminal box of each motor to terminals T1 /
T2 / T3 of the LUA contactor for motor A, LUB for B and LUC for C, etc. Connect the ground wire. The
cable cross-section corresponds to the cross-section for 1 vacuum pump in the table above.
Constant vacuum solenoid valve
Each vacuum pump is equipped with a constant vacuum solenoid valve, connect it to the electrical box
according to the electrical diagram (2 x 0.75 mm² + T). Make the connection to the ground.
DN80 isolating valve
Connect the DN80 isolating valve control of each vacuum pump according to the electrical diagram
(terminals 1 / 2 / 3, A / B / C,...) (3 x 0.75 mm² + T). Make the connection to the ground.
Connect the closing contact of each DN80 isolating valve according to the electrical diagram (terminals
7 / 8, A / B / C,...) (2 x 0.75 mm² + T). Make the connection to the ground.
Oil level safety
If oil level safety or temperature safety (option) has been selected, connect the sensors to the electrical
box according to the electrical diagram. (2 x 0.75 mm²).
Alarm report
The connection of the alarm report to the automate unit is the responsibility of the installer.
He must control the conformity and correct operation of the wiring during the final acceptance tests.
