If the i-button is pressed while the defibrillator is in training standby
mode, the defibrillator will announce that it is training. If the i-button is
pressed a second time, the defibrillator will tell you the number of the
current training scenario. A third press of the i-button will allow you to
select another scenario.
NOTE: If the battery power becomes low during training, the defibrillator
will tell you to replace the battery immediately. It will begin chirping, and the
blue i-button will start blinking. If you press the blue i-button or the green
On/Off button, the defibrillator will repeat the instruction to replace the
battery.
AFTER USING THE HEARTSTART TRAINING PADS II
After you have finished using the FRx for training, press and hold the On/Off
button to turn off the defibrillator. Remember that using the training pads
requires battery power. The defibrillator battery is designed to support 10
hours of training use. If battery power is low after training, the defibrillator will
chirp to alert you. Be sure to replace the battery with a new M5070A battery.
Prepare the training pads for their next use as follows:
1.
Unplug the training pads connector from the
defibrillator and plug in a set of SMART Pads II
to be sure the defibrillator is ready for use in an
emergency.
2.
Remove each pad from the Pads Placement
Guide or manikin and replace it inside the
HeartStart Training Pads II case (A). Press the
pads firmly into the case (B).
