Use these operating instructions to
familiarise yourself with how to
operate and control your lawn-
mower, its proper use, and the
notes on safety.
2. Proper Use
The Brill silencio is designed for
mowing lawns and areas of grass
in private domestic gardens and
allotments and is not intended for
commercial use, for operation in
public facilities, parks, sports
grounds, alongside roads or for
agriculture and forestry.

4. Putting Your Lawnmower into Operation
Always carry out a visual
inspection before using your lawn-
mower to ensure that cutting tool,
retaining bolts and entire cutting
unit are not worn or damaged.
Worn or damaged cutting tools
and retaining bolts must always
be replaced in sets to ensure that
your lawnmower is not out of

Warning! Never allow

children or other people
who are not familiar with these
operating instructions to use your
lawnmower. Local laws may
specify a minimum age for users
of this type of gardening equip-
ment.
It is essential that you observe the
operating instructions provided by
Brill to ensure that you use your
lawnmower correctly. The operating
instructions contain important
information about operating,
maintaining and repairing your
lawnmower.
3.2. Fitting the Guide Handle

The Brill silencio is supplied pre-
assembled. Remove your lawn-
mower from the box, unfold the
z-shape folding guide handle
and tighten the clamping grip
(Figure C). The folding handle
catch engages automatically as
soon as you move the handle to the
working position.

Only mow your lawn in daylight
or when your lawn is lit by ample
artificial lighting. Avoid using
your lawnmower on wet grass if
possible.
Always ensure you have
a sturdy stance when working on
slopes and inclines.

people, especially children and
pets are nearby. Remember that the
user or operator is responsible for
all accidents that occur involving
other people or their property.
Keep these operating instructions in
a safe place.

trimming bushes, hedges or shrubs,
for cutting or shredding climbing
plants or creepers, for mowing roof
vegetation or plants in balcony
planters due to the risk of personal
injury. Moreover, this lawnmower
must not be used as a shredder for
shredding tree and hedge cuttings
or for levelling uneven ground.
Warning! Make sure

Lift the multi-function box slightly
and unfold the catch on the
left and right so that the multi-
function box is opened auto-
matically when it is tipped
forwards (Figure D POS 14).
