Invert the socket and clamp securely in the lamination jig.
•
Clean the groove of the aluminum socket adapter with acetone or
similar to ensure maximum bonding of the fibers to the aluminum.
•
Roughen attachment surfaces and seal center hole (by using
plasticine or similar).
•
Apply appropriate carbon lay-up (see table 1). Tie off the
overhanging braids around the base grove using a heavy thread.
Ensure that the tie stays tight.
•
Finish with a stockinette for cosmetic finish, if desired.
•
Pull a PVA bag and laminate with acrylic or epoxy resin.
•
Tape with PVC-tape around the distal end.
•
Tie off excess resin before it reaches the gel state. Allow resin to
harden.
•
Grind off the excess hardened resin around the edge of the
aluminum socket adapter. Expose the attachment surface. Care
must be taken not to grind the aluminum piece itself!

Assembly (Figure F+G+H)

Position circular alignment wedges according to dynamic alignment.
•
Assemble and torque center bolt using Loctite 410, see table 2.

Guided by the positioning hole, drill a hole trough the circular
alignment wedge/s and the socket adapter. Tap threads for the anti-
rotational bolt, see table 3 for specifications.

Assemble, using Loctite 410, anti-rotation bolt
(CM130326/7) and anti-rotation washer
(SLX30055/6) to secure the alignment.
Torque to 10 Nm, 8 ft-lb.
•
Position the heel divider (CM140003) in the posterior slot of the
splitted heel part, see fig. H. Bolt the heel to the foot module and
torque to specifications, see table 4, using Loctite 410. Make sure
there is no interference with the central bolt head when the heels are
compressed. To secure the position of the heel divider a drop of
instant adhesive can be used on one side.
