that, if it should fall down, it can not come into
contact with the child.
• If you decide to fi x the child unit to the wall,
choose a well-aired point away from all sources
of heat.
• Never install the child unit directly above air vents
or near sources of heat; make sure it is not ex-
posed to direct sunlight.
- ON/OFF button on the child unit (2)
Press this button (2) to turn the child unit (with im-
age and sound transmitter function) ON. Do not
press the button for longer otherwise the child unit
may not switch on. Press it again to turn the child
unit (with image and sound transmitter function)
OFF.
• Nightlight ON/Off button (4)
Press this button (4) to turn the nightlight (3) ON.
Do not press the button for longer otherwise the
nightlight (3) may not switch on. When the child
unit (with image and sound transmitter function)
is alkaline battery-powered only, the night light
(3) switches off automatically after 5 minutes. If
the child unit (with image and sound transmitter
function) is powered by the mains adaptor (1), the
night light (3) will remain ON until the button (4)
is pressed again.
• Lullaby function ON/OFF button (8).
When, and exclusively when the child unit (with im-
age and sound transmission function) is switched
off; press this button (8) to start playing the 5
pre-recorded tunes in sequence. Press the lullaby
function button (8) again and it will switch off im-
mediately.
If you press button (8) once again, it will imme-
diately play the tune after the one that was being
played when it was switched off.
You can run through all the tunes available by start-
ing and stopping the lullaby function in rapid suc-
cession.
• Volume adjustment buttons (VOL+) and (VOL-)
(9a and 9b).
These two buttons (9a and 9b) with the VOL+ /
VOL – symbols, regulate the volume of the tunes
played by the unit, when the child unit is switched
off and the Lullaby function mode is activated.
Press the "+" button once to increase the sound by
one level. Press the "-" button once to decrease the
sound by one level.
When the volume reaches its maximum or mini-
mum levels, it will beep twice.
The device stores the selected lullaby play mode
volume level in its memory.
NOTE: The device has 10 volume levels. The
factory default level is 5.
2.1.3 Luminous operating status indicator
The power indicator LED (5) provides two different
types of information.
• Baby control mode ON indicator: when the child
unit (with image and sound transmitter function)
is ON, the power indicator LED (5) is green.
• Low alkaline battery indicator: if the alkaline bat-
teries fi tted in the child unit run low, the LED indi-
cator (5) will turn red.
2.2 Parent Unit (with image and sound receiver
function):
2.2.1 Power
Powered by switching adaptor (1) 100-240V ~,
50/60Hz / 9V

the relative slot (16) on the special holder (10) or by
rechargeable battery pack (14) NiMh 4x1.500 mAh,

Recharging of the rechargeable battery pack (14)

Warning:
- The mains adaptor (1) cable can strangle children
and must be kept out of their reach at all times
- Inspect the mains adaptors (1) periodically; if the
power cable or the plastic parts are damaged, do
not use them and contact a qualifi ed expert.
- Never leave the adaptors (1) connected to the
mains when the devices are not in use and/or not
connected to the adaptors themselves.
2.2.2 User Instructions – Switching on and
Adjustments
Powering the parent unit (with image and sound
receiver function) with the mains adaptor (1)
- Place the parent unit (with image and sound re-
ceiver function) on the special holder base used to
power the parent unit and recharge the rechargea-
ble battery pack (10), and connect the mains adap-
tor (1) plug into the mains socket (13) (9V
600mA) on the same holder base (10).
- Plug the mains adaptor (1) into a mains socket
that is easily accessible and near the unit.
WARNING: Only use the mains adaptors
supplied with the product, or exactly the same type
with the same electrical characteristics.
NOTE: When the parent unit (with image and
sound receiver function) is powered via the mains
adaptor (1) it recharges the rechargeable battery
pack (14). The parent unit (with image and sound
receiver function) can be used when powered by the
mains adaptor (1), without the rechargeable battery
pack (14), when the unit is inserted into the parent
unit slot (16) on the special holder base (10).

• Place the parent unit (with image and sound re-
ceiver function) on a fl at and stable surface
To recharge the rechargeable battery pack (14):
- Place the parent unit (with image and sound re-
ceiver function), with the rechargeable battery pack
inserted, in the parent unit slot on the special hold-
er base (10) and connect the mains adaptor (1) plug
into the mains socket (13) (9V
