4. Mark the wound location on the dressing with a transferable mark
using iodine, lipstick, indelible ink pencil, etc (Figure 2).
5. Reposition the insole within the liner, with the heel properly located at
the back of the walker.
6. While seated, place the foot inside walker. Ensure proper location of
patient's foot before transferring mark to the insole (Figure 3).
7. Wrap liner securely around foot and leg. Have user bear weight to
ensure transfer of relief zone mark.
8. With patient seated, remove walker. Remove liner and insole. Lightly
press on the transferred mark and remove elevated hexplugs
(Figure 4). Caution: Do not relieve too large an area that may allow
ulcer to contact the bottom of the walker while weight bearing.
9. Replace insole in the liner with the hexplugs facing away from the
patient's foot. Replace the liner, with the insole in the walker. Place
foot inside walker and wrap liner securely around foot and leg.
10. Replace the front shell and fasten ankle (A), foot (B), and calf (C)
straps in this order until snug and comfortable (Figure 5).
Note: Use of the product without the front shell may result in
pressure points and is not recommended.
11. Ensure proper location using the holes in the back of the walker to
confirm the ankle is centered and that the heel is not pressed against
the posterior of the walker (Figure 6).
12. Inflate air chambers by pressing "+" on the air bulb (Figure 7), until
the walker is snug. Note: The Air System is designed with a feature to
prevent over-inflation.
13. As needed, deflate the air chambers by pressing "-" on the air bulb
(Figure 8). Note: Always deflate the Air System prior to removing and
replacing the foot in the walker.
14. To customize the fit of the walker, the circumference around the calf
can be widened by cutting the Flex Edge™ (Figure 9).
15. A disposable compliance strap may be placed around the ankle of the
walker to inhibit removal. Place the strap through the strap guide on
the front shell before securing the compliance strap (Figure 10).
– The compliance strap is for single use only and should be replaced
by the clinician when walker is removed.
– Cut the compliance strap with scissors to remove the walker.
– Use of the compliance strap is recommended.
DONNING AND DOFFING INSTRUCTIONS
• To remove the walker, deflate air chambers, unfasten the straps,
remove the front shell and open the liner.
• To replace the walker, place the leg inside walker and wrap liner
securely around foot and leg. Place front shell over anterior calf and
dorsum of foot. Fasten ankle, foot, and calf straps in this order.
Tighten straps until snug and comfortable. Inflate air chambers by
pressing "+" on the air bulb (Figure 7 & 8), until snug.

CLEANING INSTRUCTIONS

Insole
• Do not use a washing machine or dryer.
• Do not use solvents or alcohol to clean.
• Remove the insole from the liner.
• Rinse the insole with warm or cold water [≤ 105 °F (40 °C)].
• The insole should be air dried. To expedite the drying process, a hair
dryer may be used at the lowest temperature setting.
• Once the insole is fully dried it can be reinserted into the liner.
