5.3 - Single-Phase motor

5.3.1 - General Characteristics
Single-Phase motors are equipped with a run capacitor connected in series
with the starting winding.
Table values apply under the following conditions: continuous duty (S1);
maximum ambient temperature of 40°C; altitude of less than 1.000 metres
above sea level, alternating voltage rating supply of 230V and 50 Hz
frequency.
5.3.2 – Direction of rotation
Wiring diagrams showing how to obtain a given direction of rotation are
supplied with the motors. The diagrams below show the necessary
connections to obtain the required direction of rotation of the shaft of the
single-phase motor. To view the direction of rotation, stand at the front of the
motor, that is to say facing its driving shaft.
