13.3 – Connection to the Electrical Grid
Grid voltage and frequency should match specifications on the
rating plate. Connect the terminal board (see fig. 3, No. 6),
according to the wiring diagram in the terminal box. Replace
the cover, making sure the cable glands fit properly (see fig. 3,
No. 6) and close the terminal board box (see fig. 3, No. 7).
Use cable lugs to connect the phase conductors.
13.4 – Grounding
To ground the motor, simply connect the
yellow-green protective ground conductor
with the terminal carrying the ground symbol.
Use the cable lugs connect the phase conductors.
14 – MAINTENANCE
Maintenance, inspections and overhauling are to be carried out
by trained service or qualified personnel only.
Before starting any maintenance operation on the motor, be
sure to isolate it from the power supply.
14.1 – Lubrification of the Bearings
Under normal operating conditions, bearing grease lasts three
years. Operating conditions permitting, the bearing housings of
motors with rotational speed of up to 3.600 rev/min should be
cleaned and the bearings replaced after 20.000 service hours
or after a maximum period of 3 (three) years.
