through the tailgate to the right rear light in the tailgate.
− Unwind approximately 50 mm of the harness protective tape on the vehicle wiring.
− Cut the wire to the vehicle's reversing light.
Identify the wires as per the vehicle's circuit diagram or with a voltage tester, e.g. on the connector for the tail light
Crimp one end of the cut wire -2- in a crimp connector -3-.
−
Crimp the free end of the cut wire -4- together with the white single wire -5- of the retrofit wiring harness in the crimp

Notice
In vehicles with 12V socket, the voltage supply of the parking aid can be connected to this 12V socket as an
alternative. This omits routing the wires through the vehicle to the relay and fuse carrier behind the dash panel.
Route the red single wires of the retrofit wiring harness from the control unit to the relay and fuse carrier behind the
−
dash panel and, using the cable ties supplied, attach to the lines or brackets on the vehicle.
Pull out the coloured locking device -1- to the side out of the relay and fuse carrier behind the dash panel.
−
Engage the red individual wire of the wiring harness onto the fuse holder F18.
−
Push the coloured locking device -1- into the relay and fuse carrier.
−
1.4 Concluding tasks
Secure all wires of the parking aid for the contact switch to the existing holders or vehicle wiring using the supplied
−
cable ties.
Fit all vehicle parts in reverse order.
−
ELSA
Connect the battery.
−
ELSA; Rep. Gr. 27
