Livingskin is a passive functional prosthetic device or i-Limb Skin Match cover for a myoelectric prosthesis.

INDICATIONS FOR USE
Individuals with limb absence.
CONTRAINDICATIONS
None known.

INTENDED USE

Individuals with limb absence and the potential to use a prosthetic device. Livingskin
any user with limb absence at the level of the prescribed device.
GENERAL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Warnings:
LIVINGSKIN :

– Do not use for extreme activities that may cause injury to a natural hand, e.g. rock climbing
– Do not expose to high temperatures
– Do not expose to flames
– Only use water-based lubricants with the device.
– Do not use oil-based lubricants with the device. Using oil-based lubricants will destroy the device and void
the warranty.
– Do not use skin care products containing oils with the device.
– Do not use soaps containing oils and/ or additives such as perfumes, glycerin, aloe vera or vitamin E with
the device. Exposure to oils and oily substances will make the prosthesis look shiny. Do not use oil control
cleansers to manage shine - these are abrasive and will add to the shiny look of the device.
– Do not bath or shower with the device.
Precautions:
– Users must comply with local regulations on the operation of automobiles, aircraft, sailing vessels of any
kind and any other motorized vehicle or device. It is entirely the user's responsibility to seek confirmation
that they are physically and legally able to drive using the prosthesis and to the fullest extent permitted by
law.
– Never wear the device overnight. Continual use may cause skin irritation.
– Never wear the device over unhealed cuts or sores.
CARE AND CLEANING
Cleaning:
– Wearers of a Livingskin passive functional prosthesis should wash their prosthesis after each use. Use warm
water and soap, clean inside and out.
– Wearers of a myoelectric prosthetic using a i-Limb Skin Match cover must take care to not allow water
inside.
– A small soft nail brush may be used with extreme care.
– Clean your Livingskin regularly with 70 - 90% isopropyl alcohol to help with disinfection.
– If your skin requires oil or lotion to be applied, wait at least 30 minutes for it to be completely absorbed
before donning your prosthesis.
