PREPARATION FOR OPERATION

Bench drill is supplied disassembled. Take parts of the bench drill out
of the package and assemble in the below described order.
BASE, COLUMN AND WORK TABLE ASSEMBLY
• Place the column (5) onto the base (1) and fix with the supplied bolts.
• Place base (1) and column (5) on flat and even surface.
• Slide column clamping ring (4) (with the work table 3) onto column
(5) (fig. A).
• Position work table (3) opposite to the base (1).
• Attach and tighten bolt with locking wheel of the column clamping
ring (15).
INSTALLATION OF HEAD AND EQUIPMENT
• Use hexagonal key to loosen screws in the bench drill head body,
which lock the head on the column (5).
• Place head (with spindle pointed towards the work table) onto
column (5) and tighten previously loosened screws.
• Attach knobs (14) on the handles (13).
• Screw handles (13) into holes in the shaft for the spindle lowering
/ lifting (12).
• Install drill chuck guard (16).
• Place and tighten drill chuck guard (16) on the spindle sleeve (with
• Assemble drilling depth gauge bolt (6) with nuts (b) and indicator
• Clean grease off the spindle Morse taper and taper of the drill chuck
• Lift the drill chuck guard (16) and slide drill chuck (17) onto spindle
• Bring down the drill chuck guard (16).
To firmly assemble drill chuck in the spindle sleeve, it is
recommended to press them against each other. To do that, put
wooden piece on the work table and turn handle to move down
the spindle sleeve until drill chuck contacts the wooden piece.
Apply moderate pressure.
V BELT TENSION ADJUSTMENT AND CHECK
You can open belt transmission casing only when the bench drill is
disconnected from the power supply. After every change of V belt
setting, close the belt transmission casing and secure it with a screw.
• Unscrew fixing screw and lift belt transmission casing (9).
• Ensure the V belt position on belt pulleys is correct.

SWITCHING ON / SWITCHING OFF
Before connecting the bench drill to a power supply, always check
that power supply voltage matches rated voltage shown on the
rating plate fixed to the bench drill.
Microswitch located in the belt transmission cuts off power
supply for the drill motor, whenever the casing is opened. When
the belt transmission casing is opened it is impossible to switch
on the bench drill.
Microswitch is an additional protection of the user against
potential body injury caused by moving parts of the belt
transmission of the drill.
Switching on
• Open lid (d) of the switch (8) (fig. D).
• Press the switch button (I).
Switching off
• Press the switch button (O).
