Points to watch out for!

Correct exercise!
The Face Former is inserted into the oral vestibule, behind
the lips and in front of the teeth. The lips are placed over
the top. The lip wedge must face towards the outside. (Fig. 1)
Tongue in the correct position!
The tip of the tongue should be placed a few millimetres behind
the upper incisors on the upper palate. This area is marked by a
small natural curvature and palatine rugae. The tongue should
not come into contact with the incisors. The tongue
position should be trained until it becomes habitual, even
during sleep. Training creates the necessary musculature. (Fig. 2)
A straight neck!
Make sure the chin / neck angle is approx. 90°. Straightening
the neck and head posture stabilises the shoulder girdle.
This posture must become routine. (Fig. 3)
Lips pressed together!
Press the lips together tightly onto the wedge of the Face
Former, and hold in that position for 6 seconds. Then relax
for 6 seconds. Keep the tongue in the correct position
and a straight neck throughout. (Fig. 4)
Nose breathing is a necessity!
Regular Face Former training should considerably improve nasal
breathing within 2 – 3 weeks. If there is a marked improvement,
the Face Former should also be used during the night for a
minimum of 6 months. Target: Breaking the mouth breathing
habit and making nasal breathing automatic. (Fig. 5)
Check the lower jaw (mandible)!
Do not push the lower jaw outward during exercise. The lower
front teeth must be behind the upper front teeth.
