Apply three (3) drops of clean engine oil on each side (black and red) of the
selector in the areas listed in Figure 12.
Apply in such a manner so that the oil goes into the interior of the pump cylinder
unit, therefore reaching the o-ringon the selector.

8.3 LUBRICATION OF THE PUMP PLUNGER
Unlock the handle and lift it up (Figure 13A); then simultaneously press the two
black fin like tabs indicated in Figure 13B which will release the handle from the
outer housing cylinder
Finally, with the pump removed from its cylinder, apply a light coat of automotive
grease around the entire sealing o-ringindicated in Figure 13C.

NOTE: The interval between carrying out the aforementioned maintenance varies
according to the intensity of use of the equipment. During intensive use,
lubrication at the end of each working day is recommended; with less frequent
use, maintenance intervals can be increased to a maximum of 15 days between
lubrication.

9. ENVIRONMENTAL RECOMMENDATIONS

Disposal of residual contaminants
Refer to the procedures on the labels and package inserts of the chemical to be
used and follow current legislation regulated by the national body responsible for
the environment.
Do not rinse the chemical containers or equipment in ponds, fountains, rivers and
other water sources.
Waste disposal performed incorrectly can have a harmful impact on the
environment, causing significant changes in soil quality, surface water, in
groundwater, as well as adversely affect the health of the local population.

10. RECOMMENDATIONS FOR DECONTAMINATION,
DESTRUCTION AND DISPOSAL OF THE GUARANY BIG SUCKER
Regarding the disposal of unwanted equipment that has been used for the
application of chemical products, proceed as follows:
a) Decontamination of the tank and other components through which
the chemicals have passed:
NOTE: Before sending the equipment for disposal or recycling, carry out the
procedures of cleaning/decontamination as described below.
1- During the washing procedure of the equipment, the operator should be using
the same PPE (personal protective equipment) as that recommended in item 7 of
this manual (AFTER CARE USE).
2- The washing should be done in a ventilated area and on an impermeable floor.
3- Completely empty the tank contents into a plastic container, using the
discharge function of the nozzle or the tank itself.
4- Fill the equipment with clean water to 1/3 of its rated capacity described in the
technical report; when used with oil, add the detergent recommended by the
manufacturer of the oil in question.
5- Close the equipment and shake it for 30 seconds.
6- Discard the liquid from the tank using the discharge system, in accordance with
item 6.3 of this manual, collecting all washing liquid in the same plastic container
mentioned in item 3. NOTE: whenever possible reuse the washing liquid for
further dilutions and when not possible, dispose in an appropriate location - see
the current environmental legislation on this subject.
7- This operation must be repeated three (3) times before sending the equipment
for disposal/recycling processing;
8- After the triple washing procedure, disable the plastic tank by piercing the
bottom to prevent possible future use.
b) Equipment storage following the decontamination process:
Upon completion of the triple washing, store the equipment in a place away from
any chemicals and other contaminated equipment, keeping it properly identified
with the following words: "decontaminated equipment, unused and ready to be
disposed/recycled".
c) Transportation of use de quipment:

ATTENTION
Equipment to be discarded/recycled after the triple washing process should not be
transported together with food, drinks, medicines, feed, animals or people.
Guarany warns that improper disposal of equipment can cause contamination of
thes oil, water and air, damaging the fauna and flora as well as adversely affecting
human health.
The ultimate disposal of spray equipment may only be performed by companies
legally authorized by the competent bodies.
