Indications for use:
XCP-DS®holders are indicated for
holding digital sensors for intraoral dental radiographs.
XCP-ORA®arms and rings are indicated for positioning
and aligning intraoral dental radiographs.
Contraindications:
None known.
Warning:
Sterilize device before use. DO NOT use
phenol-based glutaraldehyde or ultrasonic cleaners.
DO NOT chemiclave, dry-heat sterilize or cold sterilize.
Only sterilize with steam sterilization according to the
provided sterilization instructions. DO NOT exceed 273°F
(134°C). It is the user's responsibility to qualify alternative
methods of disinfection and sterilization. Failure to follow
properly validated sterilization processes and approved
aseptic techniques may result in cross contamination. Any
method of sterilization will shorten the life of plastic parts.

Step-by-Step Instructions:
1. Insert positioning arm into the appropriate color-
coded channel of the aiming ring.
2. Attach appropriate biteblock for area to be imaged.
Correctly assembled, the imaging area should be
centered when viewed through the aiming ring.
3. Position holder in patient's mouth and slide ring close
to patient's face.
4. Align x-ray tube to ring.
5. Take exposure.
6. Adjust as needed for the next desired position.
Reprocessing:
Disassemble instrument(s) and separate all
parts prior to reprocessing.
Cleaning: Manual / Mechanical (Ultrasonic)
1. Rinse the disassembled device under potable running
water while brushing with a soft-bristled brush to
remove gross soil.
2. Prepare an enzymatic instrument cleaning solution and
immerse the device per the manufacturer's instructions.
3. Rinse the device under potable running water for at
least 30 seconds and dry using a disposable lint-free
cloth.
4. Visually inspect the device for visible soil. If soil is seen,
repeat the cleaning procedure.
Cleaning and Disinfection: Automated – Instrument
Washer-Disinfector
Use only properly maintained, calibrated, and approved
washer-disinfectors according to ISO 15883.
1. Rinse the disassembled device under potable running
water while brushing with a soft-bristled brush to
remove gross soil.
2. Follow manufacturer instructions for instrument washer
solution, observing concentration rates and contact
times as well as the instrument washer's recommended
cleaning and/or thermal disinfection cycle (1 minute
at 90°C).
3. Visually inspect the devices for visible soil and repeat
the cleaning and disinfection procedure if necessary.
Sterilization:
Ensure that the device is thoroughly
dry prior to sterilization. Enclose the device into an
appropriately sized sterilization pouch intended for steam
sterilization. Place the pouched device into the sterilizer
per the manufacturer's instructions. Sterilize the device
according to one of the recommended methods listed
below.

to avoid damage to the components. DO NOT exceed

Place the non-pouched device into the
sterilizer and sterilize according to one of methods listed
above. Non-pouched device must be used immediately
following sterilization.
Storage:
To maintain sterility, the device should remain in
the sterilization pouch until ready for use.

Kontraindikationen:
Keine bekannt.
Warnhinweis:
Das Produkt vor Gebrauch sterilisieren.
KEIN phenolhaltiges Glutaraldehyd und KEINEN
Ultraschallreiniger verwenden. NICHT chemisch,
mit Heißluft oder kalt sterilisieren. Nur gemäß den
vorliegenden Sterilisationsanleitungen mit Dampf
sterilisieren. 273 °F (134 °C) nicht überschreiten! Die
Qualifizierung alternativer Methoden für Desinfektion
und Sterilisation obliegt dem Benutzer. Ein Nichtbefolgen
der validierten Sterilisationsprozesse und zugelassenen
aseptischen Verfahren kann Kreuzkontaminationen
begünstigen. Jede Methode der Sterilisation verkürzt die
Lebensdauer von Kunststoffteilen.

Schritt-für-Schritt-Anweisungen:
1. Den Positionierungsarm in den entsprechenden
farbkodierten Kanal des Zielrings einführen.
2. Einen für den abzubildenden Bereich geeigneten
Bissblock anbringen. Bei korrekter Montage sollte der
abzubildende Bereich beim Blick durch den Zielring
zentriert sein.
3. Den Halter im Mund des Patienten positionieren
und den Ring nahe zum Gesicht des Patienten hin
verschieben.
4. Die Röntgenröhre am Ring ausrichten.
5. Die Aufnahme anfertigen.
6. Die erforderlichen Anpassungen für die nächste
gewünschte Position vornehmen.
Wiederaufbereitung:
Das oder die Instrumente vor der
Wiederaufbereitung zerlegen und alle Teile voneinander
trennen.
Reinigung: manuell/mechanisch (Ultraschall)
1. Das zerlegte Gerät unter fließendem Trinkwasser
abspülen und dabei grobe Verschmutzungen mithilfe
einer Bürste mit weichen Borsten entfernen.
2. Eine enzymatische Instrumentenreinigungslösung
und das Produkt unter Beachtung der
Herstelleranweisungen darin eintauchen.
3. Das Produkt mindestens 30 Sekunden lang unter
fließendem Trinkwasser abspülen und mit einem
fusselfreien Einwegtuch nachtrocknen.
