PREPARATION FOR OPERATION
BLADE INSTALLATION
Disconnect the power tool from power supply.
Installation and removal of the blade is toolless.
● Turn the ring of the blade holder (2) and slide the blade into the
holder until it stops (fig. A).
● Release the ring of the blade holder (2) (the ring will return to the
default position).
● Pull the blade lightly to make sure it is properly fixed.
If the ring of the blade holder does not return to the default
position, turn the ring manually.
FOOTPLATE ADJUSTMENT
Disconnect the power tool from power supply.
● Loosen the footplate fixing screws (6).
● Set the footplate (7) to required distance (fig. B).
● Tighten the footplate fixing screws (6).
MAIN ADJUSTABLE HANDLE
Before starting operation you can adjust main handle to the
position most comfortable for the task. The handle can be set up in 5
positions within 180° rotation range in long axis of the tool body (90°
left or right from the base position).
● Move the main handle lock (8) back (fig. C).
● Rotate the main handle around long axis of the tool to desired
position (fig. D).
● The main handle automatically locks in desired position.
OPERATION / SETTINGS
SWITCHING ON / SWITCHING OFF
The mains voltage must match the voltage on the rating plate
of the saw.
Switching on – press the switch button (5).
Switching off – release pressure on the switch (5).
Locking the switch (continuous operation)
Switching on:
● Press the switch button (5) and hold in this position.
● Press the switch lock button (4) (fig. E).
● Release pressure on the switch button (5).
Switching off:
● Press and release the switch button (5).
OPERATION SPEED ADJUSTMENT
Working speed is controlled with pressure on the switch button (5).
CUTTING
● Put front part of the footplate (7) flat on the material that you plan
to cut (fig. F).
● Start the saw and adjust working speed to properties of processed
material.
● Move the saw slowly and guide the blade along previously set cutting
line (fig. G).
Cut at a steady rate, be careful not to overload the saw. Excessive
pressure applied on the blade will suppress operation and will affect
cutting efficiency unfavourably.
During operation whole surface of the footplate should contact
surface of the processed material.
OPERATION AND MAINTENANCE
Unplug the power cord from the mains socket before
commencing any activities related to installation, adjustment,
repair or maintenance.
MAINTENANCE AND STORAGE
● Cleaning the device after each use is recommended.
● Do not use water or any other liquid for cleaning.
● Do not use any cleaning agents or solvents, they may damage plastic
parts.
● Clean the tool with a dry cloth or blow with compressed air at low
pressure.
● Clean ventilation holes in the motor casing regularly to prevent device
overheating.
● In case of excessive commutator sparking, have the technical
condition of carbon brushes of the motor checked by a qualified
person.
● Always store the tool in a dry place, beyond reach of children.
REPLACEMENT OF CARBON BRUSHES
Immediately replace worn out (shorter than 5 mm), burnt or
cracked motor carbon brushes. Always replace both carbon
brushes at a time.
● Move the main handle lock (8) back.
● Turn the main handle around long axis of the tool body to one of
extreme positions (in relation to base position), so the carbon brush
can be accessed.
● Unscrew carbon brush cover (3) (fig. H).
● Remove worn out carbon brush.
● Remove any carbon dust with compressed air.
● Insert new carbon brush. Brush should easily move into brush holder
(fig. I).
● Fix carbon brush cover (3).
● Move the main handle lock button (8) to the back again and rotate the
main handle by 180° from its position.
● Repeat the above procedure for the other carbon brush.
After the carbon brushes are replaced, start the saw with no
load and wait 1–2 minutes until the carbon brushes fit to the
motor commutator. It is recommended to entrust replacement
of carbon brushes only to a qualified person. Only original parts
should be used.
All defects should be repaired by service workshop authorized by
the manufacturer.
