NOTE: An edging that is at least 60 cm must be used
if the work area is adjacent to a pool, steep slopes, or
a public road. This will prevent the mower from ending
up outside the working area under any circumstance.
NOTE: Set up the boundary away from high-voltage
posts or devices. Do not set up the boundary near heat
or fi re sources, or explosive environment.

SPLICING THE BOUNDARY WIRES

Use an original coupler if the boundary wire is not long
enough for the work area and needs to be spliced.
Insert both wire ends into the coupler. Check that the
boundary wires are fully inserted into the coupler. Both
ends of the boundary wires should be visible through
the transparent area on the other side of the coupler.
Press the button on top of the coupler to connect the
both ends of the boundary wires. If necessary, use a
polygrip to completely press down the button on the
coupler.
DEFINED OBSTACLES
Softscapes and hardscapes must be protected by
setting it as a defi ned obstacle. The perimeter of a
defi ned obstacle should either be rectangular or round.
The boundary wire entry and exit points for a defi ned
obstacle should be separated by less than 5 mm and
should not overlap or cross itself. Boundary wires
leading to and from a defi ned obstacle should be
fastened with the same peg.
The mower will drive over boundary wires that are run
in parallel and close to each other with a distance of
less than 5 mm.
If the mower needs to dock at the charging station and
passes through a defi ned obstacle, it will circle around
the defi ned obstacle a multiple times before searching
for the boundary wire again.
INSTALLING AND CONNECTING THE CHARGING
STATION

INSTALLING THE CHARGING STATION

Place the charging station on a levelled ground and
ensure that no objects or obstructions are in the
immediate vicinity.
■
The charging station must be positioned with
enough free space.
■
Protect the charging station from water sprinkler
systems.
■
Protect the charging station from direct sunlight.
■
The charging station must not be positioned in a
way that its charging pad is bent.
■
The charging station must not be placed on a
defi ned obstacle as this limits the optimal operation
of the boundary wire.

Position the charging station in a spot close to the
power outlet.
■
Mount the charging station to the ground using
the supplied charging station screws. Ensure the
screws are securely tightened all the way down in
the countersink. If the charging station is placed
against a wall, it is best to wait before securing
the charging station to the ground until after all the
wires have been connected.

CONNECTING THE POWER SUPPLY

If the transformer is connected to an outdoor power
outlet, ensure the power outlet is designed for
outdoor use.
WARNING
The transformer cable must not, under any
circumstances, be shortened or extended.

Make sure the transformer cable is laid along the
ground and secured with pegs. The cable must lay
close to the ground so as not to be cut before the
grass roots have grown over it.
WARNING
Place the transformer cable so that the blades can
never come in contact with the cable.

The transformer must be placed in a well-ventilated
area. Do not expose to direct sunlight.
■
Do not, under any circumstances, mount the
transformer at a height where there is a risk of it
being submerged in water. The transformer must
not be placed on the ground.
■
Never connect the transformer to the power outlet if
the plug or cord is damaged. Damaged or entangled
cord increases the risk of electric shock.
■
Connect the transformer's power cable to a 100 -
240 V mains.

CHARGING THE MOWER

As soon as the charging station is connected, it is
possible to charge the mower.
■
Turn on the master switch, which is located at the
underside of the mower.
■
Dock the mower to the charging station.
NOTE: Docking the mower to the charging station
activates the installed battery pack. Always perform
this step when the battery pack is removed or
replaced.
