4.2 | Tightening the screwed connection

A screwed connection, which should first be tightened by hand,
can now be tightened with the torque wrench. To do this, place the
torque wrench and a suitable attachment (socket wrench socket
or bit attachment) on the bolt and operate the handle of the lever
arm while applying continuously gentle force. Ensure that the switch
lever (designation in the picture) is not accidentally held by hand
during the tightening process. The switch lever moves slightly during
the tightening process, and only in this way is it guaranteed that
the sprockets are properly engaged in the safety catches inside
the multi-ring key holder and that the torque is evenly distributed.
The set tightening torque being reached is indicated by a slight
noticeable jerk and a "cracking" noise at the same time. Pay close
attention to the wrench triggering in this way – do not continue
to use it afterwards, otherwise you will exceed the set tightening
torque! You must therefore stop applying force after the signal, as
the wrench will not do so itself!
