electrolyte with an aerometer.
If the red „BAD" diode is lit and the voltage value is decreasing, it may be necessary to replace the accumulator with a new one.
Tests of the charging of the accumulator
ATTENTION! When the engine is operating, the load switch must not be turned on.
Connect tester as in the case of testing of an accumulator.
Start the engine and wait until it has reached the normal working temperature.
Maintain the rotation of the engine within the range of 1200 – 1500 rpm.
The indicator should show a value within the range of 13.5 - 15 V. If other values are indicated, the accumulator is not loaded to
its full capacity. It is then required to check the capacity of the accumulator using other methods, e.g. checking the density of the
electrolyte with an aerometer.

Starter test
Attention! During the starter tests, the load switch must not be turned on.
Before the starter tests, it is required to conduct a test of the accumulator under load and write down the voltage value.
Attention! Is the test of an accumulator under load did not indicate a full capacity of the accumulator, the starter test will not
succeed.
The engine of the vehicle should reach its normal working temperature, and then it should be turned off.
Connect the tester as in the case of testing of an accumulator.
Start the engine and observing the indicator write down the voltage value.
Compare the voltage values from the test under load and the starter test, using the following table.
Voltage of the test under load
10,2 V
10,4 V
10,6 V
10,8 V
11,0 V
11,2 V
11,4 V
If the observed value is lower than the one indicated in the table, the cranking current is too high. Is may be a result of bad condi-
tions of the contacts, a damaged starter or engine, or an insufficient capacity of the accumulator.
MAINTENANCE OF THE DEVICE
The device does not require any special maintenance. A dirty housing should be cleaned with a soft cloth or with a compressed
air jet, whose pressure must not exceed 0.3 MPa.
Check the conditions of the terminals of the conductors before and after each use. Remove any signs of corrosion, which might
disturb the flow of the electric current. Avoid contamination of the terminals with the electrolyte from the accumulator, since it would
accelerate the process of corrosion.
The device should be stored in a dry place, away from unauthorised persons, particularly children. Make sure the cables and
conductors are not damaged during storage.
