Thank you for your trust and decision of buying this advanced battery charger BHFL -
Series to charge Lead-Acid Batteries (Acid, GEL, AGM, Lead-Calcium) and energy
supply while servicing. This digital controlled switch mode charger is the state of art
of the Battery Chargers technology. Please, follow the operating instructions to gua-
ranty the correct and efficient operation for long time.
Please, read the Operating Manual with attention and follow all instructions
before putting the equipment in operation.
Important safety instructions
• Do not throw away this advisements.
• Do not leave the unit in the rain, snow or unsafe environment.
• While charging the battery it can produce gases. So it is definitively necessary to
have attention and not produce sparks around it.
• When battery acid reach your skin or your clothes, wash them immediately with
neutral soap and fresh water. In case your eyes become reached by acid, wash it
immediately only with fresh water and look for a medical support as soon as
possible.
• Never smoke around battery or engine neither make any fire or sparking.
• While connecting or disconnecting battery cables use protective glasses and don't
look direct to the contact point.
• Be careful using metal tools around battery. Just short time contact to the electrical
terminals can result in high danger of fire or explosion.
• Use of not original or approved spare parts by the manufacturer can risk to fire,
electrical damage or personal injuries.
• To avoid the risk of connectors or wires damaging it is necessary to hold the connec
tors only instead of wires when connecting or disconnecting the electrical parts.
• The warm of the units up to 60°C is normal in operation and there is no reason to
stop its use.
• Leave the charger with free ventilation. It has good control of ventilation automati-
cally reducing the current if necessary and even turning it off.
• This charger is intended for the charging of Lead Batteries and should not be used
for any other purpose.
• In no circumstances the charger should be used with frozen battery but only in
ambient temperature. If any suspicion of cold battery would be used, it must be
warmed until the normal temperature.
• Damaged battery should not be used in any case.
• Only specified re-chargeable batteries should be charged with this unit.
• Leave the charger as far as possible from the charging battery.
• Examine always if the charger is in the float charging mode before leaving it for
long time without supervision. If the charger doesn't go to this mode at most in
24 hours normally the battery is damaged and then the charger must be manually
switched off.
