- Ensure that the carbon rods do not project beyond the
wing's surface.
Fig. 5
- Fit the two carbon fibre rods (one long, one short) in the
channels in the top surface of the wing, and glue them in
place using cyano.
- Ensure that the carbon rods do not project beyond the
wing's surface.
Installing the wing-mounted aileron servos
Fig. 6
- Fit single-ended output arms on opposite sides of the two
aileron servos as shown, forming a mirror-image pair.
- Drill out the outermost holes in the servo output arms to
1.2 mm Ø.
Figs. 7 and 8
- Place the servos in the recesses in the wing, and deploy
the servo leads in the cable channels. Secure the servos
to the wings with a drop of cyano applied to each moun-
ting lug.
- Remove a little foam material at the point marked by the
arrow, to ensure that the output arms are not obstructed
in their travel.
Fig. 9
- Connect the servo extension leads. Cut the cable duct
deeper to accept the connectors.
Fig. 10
- Run the servo extension leads along the cable ducts, and
secure them with strips of adhesive tape.
Fig. 11
- Connect the pre-formed end of the pushrods to the servo
output arms.
Fig. 12
- Mount the swivel pushrod connectors on the aileron
horns.
Assembly and operating instructions
Parabolic KIT
- Slip the plain end of the pushrods through the swivel pus-
hrod connectors, then glue the horns in the recesses in
the ailerons.
- Check that the servos are at neutral. Hold the ailerons at
centre.
- Tighten the grubscrews in the swivel connectors to secu-
re them.
Figs. 13 and 14
- Glue the screw support bushes in the wing as shown.
- If there are small gaps at the butt-joints at the centre of
the wing, use cyano filler to make them good.
The tail panels
Fig. 15
- Mount the swivel pushrod connector on the rudder horn.
Fig. 16
- Slip the plain end of the pushrod through the swivel
connector, and tighten the grubscrew lightly.
Fig. 17
- Glue the horn to the rudder using cyano.
Fig. 18
- Prepare the elevator horn as shown.
Fig. 19
- Glue the horn to the elevator.
Fig. 20
- Mount a single-armed output lever on the elevator servo.
Locate the second hole from the outside, and drill it out to
1.2 mm Ø.
Fig. 21
- Connect the pre-formed end of the pushrod to the servo
output arm. Press the servo in the recess in the tailplane,
and secure it with a drop of cyano applied to each moun-
ting lug.

Fig. 22
- Prepare the rudder servo as described for the elevator
servo. Drill out the outermost hole in the servo output arm
to 1.2 mm Ø.
- Connect the servo to the extension lead in the fuselage.
Fig. 23
- Press the servo into the recess in the base of the fin, and
secure it with a drop of cyano applied to each mounting
lug.
Fig. 24
- Connect the elevator servo to the extension lead in the
fuselage.
Fig. 25
- Connect the pre-formed end of the rudder pushrod to the
outermost hole in the servo output lever.
- Place the tailplane and fin on the fuselage.
- The connecting piece "S" is not required until later.
Figs. 26 and 27
- Attach the tail panels using the M4 x 50 screw; take care
not to over-tighten it.
Fig. 28
- Check that both tail servos are at neutral (centre).
- Loosen the screws in the swivel pushrod connectors. Set
the control surfaces exactly to centre, then tighten the
screws in the pushrod connectors fully.
- Press the connecting piece "S" into the channel; do not
glue it in place.
The Parabolic in glider mode
Figs. 29 and 30
- Fit the glider nose cone on the fuselage, and fit the retai-
ning screws to secure it.
Fig. 31
- Connect the receiver battery to the receiver using the
switch harness.
