Dealing with obstructions
• If the door runs into an obstruction when it is closing, the operator re-
tracts approx. 100 mm (note DIP switch 3 (30) setting) and then stops.
For reasons of safety, the next starting signal causes the door to move
only in the "OPEN" direction, until it has reached the upper end position.
At this point, both directions of travel are enabled again.
Partial opening (DIP 8)
This function partly or completely opens the door, depending on the set-
ting. Application examples: ventilate the garage, open side of sectional
door for personal entry.
Partial opening can be used both with two wall switches and by transmitter
alone. In pure transmitter operation, the safety connection (26) terminals 7
+ 8 remain available.
When wall switch 2 is activated, the door is opened partially if it was
closed. If the door is already completely or partially open, pressing wall
switch 2 closes the door again.
Wall switch 1 opens the door completely, even if the door had been partly
opened with wall switch 2.
Settings
1. Close door.
2. Teach radio channel 2
- Teach button 2 of the transmitter on radio channel 2 of the radio
receiver (see under R)
3. Set switch 2 to "ON" position: Adapt function mode of the safety
connection
- only if 2 switches are connected, otherwise the safety connection
(terminal 1 + 2) can be used e.g. for a light barrier.
4. Set switch 8 in "ON" position (activates partial opening).
Sequence
• Press button 2 of the transmitter or press switch 2 (open door from
"CLOSED" end position).
- Door opens until button 2 of the transmitter or press switch 2 is
pressed a second time, or the door has reached the "OPEN DOOR"
end position.
• Press button 2 of the transmitter or the press switch 2 on reaching the
desired position.
• Close door with button 2 of the transmitter or press switch 2.
The desired partial opening is now stored and can be directly activated
with button 2 of the transmitter or wall switch 2.
To cancel the partial opening, set DIP switch 8 to the "OFF" position.

2-channel operation (defined opening and closing) (DIP 7)
Switch/radio channel 1 opens and switch/radio channel 2 closes the door.
2-channel operation can also be used only with the wall switch or transmit-
ter. If 2-channel operation is only controlled via the hand transmitter, the
safety connection is also available.
Settings
1. Set switch 7 to "ON" position if only wall switch 2 is connected.
2. Set switch 7 in Position "ON"
3. Set switch 8 in Position "OFF"
4. Teach the second button of the transmitter on radio channel 2.
Door status indicator (DIP 4)
If a warning light is connected, this indicates whether the door is closed or
opened. The warning light shines, if the door is not "CLOSED".
Settings
1. Set switch 4 to "ON" position
2. Connect warning light DC 24 V to terminals 11 + 12 (see above).
Additional information
1 LED (29) shows the status of the control unit. If the LED flashes, no
power value has been taught. In normal mode, LED (29) behaves in the
same way as a connected warning light.
2 Bridge (31): if the operator is to be operated without Soft Run, the
bridge can be cut. Soft Run is then deactivated.
Alternative: Use a TorMinal, see U.
T
TorMinal interface (32)
For further information, see TorMinal user instructions.
V. CARE AND MAINTENANCE
• If the chain or chain cover is very dirty, clean it with a clean cloth.
• Always unplug before working on the door or operator.
• Lightly oil the chain once a year with "conductive" oil, e.g.: Ballistol,
WD 40.
• Check that all screws and bolts are tightened. Tighten additionally
where necessary.
• Check safety devices for correct operation regularly – at least once a
year.
• Check the door according to manufacturer's instructions – at least once
a year.
• Check regularly:
a) Power cut-out: stop door wing during opening and closing. The door
must stop if you press it lightly with your hand.
b) Emergency release: door must be easy to unlock by hand.
c) Light barrier, if present: open/close door and interrupt light barrier.
Proceed as set on switch (30).
Disassembly
• Follow safety instructions. Unplug.
• The sequence is identical to that described in section "II ASSEMBLY",
but in reverse order. Ignore the setting instructions.
Warranty and after-sales service
• The warranty is as provided by law. Your contact person for warranty
claims is the specialist retailer. The warranty is valid only in the country
in which the operator was bought.
• Batteries, fuses and bulbs are excluded from the warranty.
• If you require after-sales service, spare parts or accessories, please
contact your specialist retailer.
• We have tried to make the assembly and user instructions as easy as
possible to follow. If you have any suggestions as to how we could
improve them or if you think more information is needed, please send
your suggestions to us:
