This battery charger is double insulated and has a two-prong polarized plug (one blade is wider

properly grounded. If you are not sure, have a certifi ed electrician check the power outlet.
The battery pack cells may develop a small leak under extreme usage or temperature conditions.
If the outer seal is broken and the leakage gets on your skin:
1. Use soap and water to wash immediately
2. Neutralize with lemon juice, vinegar, or other mild acid

Do not discard the packing material until you have carefully inspected and satisfactorily operated
the product.
If any parts are damaged or missing, please call 1-800-828-5500 (U.S.) or 1-800-668-1238

WARNING:
Make sure the battery is removed from the unit and the two-speed
switch is in the OFF position before installing the blower tube and nozzle.
This blower can be operated with or without the blower
tube and nozzle. The blower tube and nozzle extend
the reach of the blower and concentrate the fl ow of air
it delivers.
1. Align the widest end of the blower tube with the
front opening on the blower (Fig. 1).
2. Slide the blower tube over the front opening on the
blower until the latch is inserted into the opening on
the blower tube and locks into place.
3. Slide the nozzle over the blower tube until the latch
on the blower tube is inserted into the end of the
opening on the nozzle and locks into place.
CHARGING THE BATTERY
Charge the battery in a cool, dry place.
For optimal performance, charge the battery every
two weeks, even when not in use.
The battery does not have to be fully discharged before
recharging. This battery will not develop a memory.
NOTE:
The battery is not shipped fully charged. It is
recommended to fully charge the battery before use
to ensure that maximum run time can be achieved.
A fully discharged battery will require approximately
4.5 hours to completely charge. 2 to 3 initial
charging/discharging cycles may be required in
order to reach the maximum run time/capacity.
NOTE:
Do not recharge a fully charged battery pack.
Overcharging shortens the battery life.
1. Plug the charger into an AC wall outlet / receptacle.
2. The red Power LED will illuminate (Fig. 2).
3. Insert the battery into the charger (Fig. 3).
NOTE:
Make sure the battery is fully inserted into
the charge by making sure the red Indicator LED
charge light is on (Fig. 2).
4. Once the battery has reached a full charge level the
Indicator LED will turn from red to green (Fig. 2).
5. The battery may be removed (Fig. 3) or stored in
the charger once it is fully charged; however, it is
recommended to disconnect the plug from the wall
outlet/receptacle.
NOTE:
Lithium-ion batteries, while in use, will
continue to provide full power without power fade
unlike typical batteries; when the battery is fully
discharged, the battery circuitry will immediately cut
power to the tool and require immediate charging.
NOTE:
If the battery does not charge properly, check
the current at the power outlet with another tool.
Make sure that the outlet is not turned off.
BATTERY INSTRUCTIONS
Press the battery capacity indicator (BCI) button. The
lights will illuminate according to the battery's current
power level (Fig. 4).
INSTALLING AND REMOVING THE BATTERY
Follow these instructions in order to avoid injury and to
reduce the risk of electric shock or fi re:
Verify that the switch is in the OFF position before
installing or removing the battery. Refer to Starting
and Stopping Instructions.
