General information
This attractive fondue set has been designed by Jan des
Bouvrie. This appliance cannot only be used for tasty fondues,
it is also pleasing to look at. The heating base, the pot and the
forks have a modern design. The Jan des Bouvrie Fondue
comes with eight fondue forks, so that you can enjoy it with your
family and friends.
The Jan des Bouvrie Fondue has a handy ring in which five
sauce bowls can be placed. The ring can be rotated, so that the
sauce of your choice is easy to reach. The heat radiation from
the fondue pot keeps the sauces in the ring warm. The
temperature-control dial makes the fondue pot suitable for
different types of fondue, such as the classic meat fondue, a
cheese fondue, a chocolate fondue or a Chinese fondue (with
stock).

6
1
Remove all the packaging materials and stickers from the
appliance.
2
Clean the appliance and all accessories (see 'Cleaning and
maintenance'), and dry them thoroughly.
3
Put the heating base on a stable surface.
4
Place the ring for the sauce bowls, together with the sauce
bowls, on the heating base if you wish to enjoy warm
sauces with your fondue. You can also use the Jan des
Bouvrie Fondue without the ring and the sauce bowls.
• The heat radiation from the fondue pot will heat the sauce
bowls that have been placed in the ring. Sauces that are
to be served cold should be placed on the table.
• The ring with the sauce bowls will become hot. The ring
must, therefore, be rotated by holding the plastic edge
and not the metal ring itself.
See Figure 2.
• The sauce bowls can become hot when the appliance is
in use.
5
Place the fondue pot in the middle of the heating base.
6
Place the fondue ring in the fondue pot.
Heating oil or stock
1
Choose an oil that is suitable for use with a fondue (this will
be stated on the packaging).
• Do not use oil that is not suitable for use with a fondue.
The oil may spit and cause burns.
2
Fill the fondue pot with oil or stock. Make sure the pot is
filled above the minimum level (Min.) and below the
maximum level (Max.).
3
Put the plug in the wall socket. The red indicator light will be
lit to indicate that the appliance has been turned on.
• Do not turn on the appliance when the pot is empty.
4
Rotate the temperature-control dial to the desired setting.
The orange indicator light will be lit. Adjust the temperature
so that the liquid just starts to boil.
