Operation
To ensure maximum service life, do not recharge
the battery immediately when it has only been in
use for a short period. If possible, wait until it has
reached its lower capacity limit before recharging
it.
Try to avoid causing the machine to jam. When
this happens, it requires an excessive amount of
energy, which means that the battery becomes
discharged sooner and is subject to higher wear.
If you notice that you have to charge the battery
more and more frequently, it is spent and must be
replaced.
Observe the instructions for disposal.
Battery cap
A battery cap 8 is enclosed in the delivery to allow
you to protect the contacts of the battery when it is
removed.
Fit this cap 8 over the battery contacts when
storing, transporting or disposing of the battery.
If the battery cap is not fitted, loose metal parts
could short-circuit the contacts, creating a danger
of fire and explosion.
Battery charge level indicator
The three LEDs on the charge level indicator 6
show the level of the charge in the battery.
Press the button IX to display the charging status.
The charge level indicator LED goes out automa-
tically after approx. 5 seconds.
If one of the LEDs flashes when the button IX is
pressed, the battery needs charging!
If none of the LEDs lights up when the button IX is
pressed, the battery is faulty and must be re-
placed.
While the battery is charging, the three LEDs light
up consecutively. The battery is fully charged
when the three LEDs all light up continuously at
the same time.
The three LEDs go out again approximately five
minutes after completion of the battery charging
process.
Battery-operated work surface lighting
The LED lighting 9 allows you to light the spot you
are working on when lighting conditions are poor.
Press the lighting button X to switch it on.
Press the button X again to switch the lighting
off.
-NOTE-
The work surface lighting is switched off while
the battery charge level is being displayed.
The lighting is automatically reactivated when
the charge level indicator LEDs go out.
