8. The outdoor unit should be fixed securely. To reduce vibration, a rubber plate with a thickness of 20mm and a width of 80mm
should be used between the unit chassis support and the foundation. The installation diagram is shown below. Special
instructions:
(1) Following conditions should be met if the unit adopts 6 damping support points for installation:
• 38VT08/10/12/14/16173HQEE: the diameter of the contact support between the circular damping rubber block and the
chassis should be more than 8cm. The supporting area of a single shock absorber should be more than 50cm2 (if the
square rubber plate is used, the single length should be greater than 8cm).
• 38VT18/20/22/24/26173HQEE: the diameter of the contact support between the circular damping rubber block and the
chassis should be more than 10cm, and the supporting area of a single shock absorber should be more than 80cm2 (if
the square rubber plate is used, the single length should be greater than 12cm).
(2) If the unit adopts integral rubber plate installation, the total length of the rubber plate should be equal to that of the chassis
support.
Combination Installation Dimensions
• There should be no obstacles for 2000mm above the top of the outdoor unit.
If obstacles are piled around the outdoor unit, they should be below 900mm from the bottom of the outdoor unit.
• When multiple modules are installed, the outdoor unit should be ranked as per capacity; the larger capacity should be closer to
the main pipe.
