Damp inside the connectors may cause flash-overs that could
damage the connector or its insulation. Ensure that the product
is dried sufficiently during reconditioning and prevent fluids
from penetrating the connector during use. The older the mate-
rial, the greater the risk of unwanted damp in the connectors.
Erbe Elektromedizin expressly warns against modifying the ca-
ble, e.g. independently replacing defective insulation. Any mod-
ification leads to the termination of liability on behalf of Erbe
Elektromedizin.

How to use
Clean, disinfect and sterilize the product before using it for the
first time and before every subsequent use.
WARNING! Do not kink the cable.
WARNING! Protect the product from all physical damage! Do not
throw! Do not apply force of any kind!
WARNING! Risk of injury! Do not activate the electrosurgical unit
while you are connecting the cable.
Connect the instrument to the cable. Then plug the connector
plug on the cable into the bipolar socket on the electrosurgical
unit.
Risk of injury. A flash-over can occur on the connection be-
tween the cable and the instrument in the case of HF activation:
during activation of the electrosurgical unit, ensure that no con-
tact is possible with the connection and that no contact takes
place.
Select an appropriate unit setting on the electrosurgical unit. The
unit setting may not exceed the maximum electrical load of both
the cable and the instrument, as the equipment might otherwise
become damaged. The maximum electrical load of the cable is
1000 V
