Turn the appliance OFF, then unplug from the outlet when

not in use, before assembling or disassembling parts and
before cleaning. To unplug, grasp the plug and pull from
the outlet. Never pull by the power cord.
Avoid contacting moving and rotating parts.

Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or

plug or after the appliance malfunctions, or is dropped
or damaged in any manner. Contact the manufacturer at
their customer service telephone number for information
on examination, repair or adjustments, or send the appli-
ance to the nearest authorised service facility.
The use of attachments not sold by the manufacturer

is not recommended and may cause fire, electrical shock
or injury.
Do not use outdoors.

Do not let cord hang over edge of table or counter.

Do not let cord contact hot surfaces, including the stove.

When mixing liquids, especially hot liquids, use a tall

container or make small quantities at a time to reduce
spillage.
Keep hands and utensils out of the container while blen-

ding to prevent the possibility of severe injury to persons
or damage to the unit. If a scraper is used, it must be
used only when the unit is not running.
Blades are sharp. Handle carefully.

Repairs may only be carried out by our qualified service

facilities. Considerable danger for the user may result
from repairs by unauthorised persons.

Additional safety instructions
This appliance may be fitted with a polarised plug (one

blade is wider than the other). To reduce the risk of elec-
trical shock, this plug will fit in a polarised outlet only one
way. If the plug does not fit fully in the outlet, reverse the
plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician.
Do not modify the plug in any way.
If the appliance is used for other purposes than those for

which it is intended, if it is incorrectly operated or
repaired by unqualified persons, no responsibility can
be accepted for any damages which occur. In such a cas
the guarantee becomes invalid.
