Using the bamix
®
Use the bamix
directly in the cooking pot or pan. This means less to clean, as processing
®
takes place right in the pot. No need to transfer the ingredients to another container!
The bamix
is particularly suitable for the following purposes: (*Gastro 350)
®
– to strain and blend cold and warm sauces in quantities
from 1 to 20 litres / *2 to 30 litres
– to liquidise vegetable soups (quantities from 2 to 20 litres / *3 to 30 litres)
– to thicken soups and sauces (more than 1 litre / *3 litres)
– to whip and stiffen egg whites (at least 5 egg whites / *10 egg whites)
– to whip cream (more than 1 litre / *2 litres)
– for liquid mixtures, e. g. for cheesecakes, custard, etc.
– to blend and liquidise fruit for ice cream
– to prepare jams
– to liquidise
– for fruit and milk shakes
– for mayonnaise, herb butter
– to crush ice cream and frozen fruits
– to beat up ice cream mixtures
Working with the bamix
®
Mincing and chopping
Always move the bamix
lightly from the wrist and lower it into the ingredients without
®
pressure. Move the appliance up and down through the ingredients. The length of
processing determines the fineness of the result.
Beating
Lower the bamix
at an angle into the ingredients and work up and down slowly at the
®
side of the container. Repeat beating until contents are stiff.
Straining, blending
Lower the bamix
®
with the whisk attachment at an angle into the mixture and blend.
Tip: when working with small amounts, hold the container at an angle; this prevents spraying.
Cleaning and care
After using, hold the cutter guard and the shaft with the attachment under running water,
hot or cold, and then put bamix
back ready to hand in its wall-holder. The appliance is
®
watertight up to the seam below the switch.
The appliance and the cutter guard are not suitable for cleaning in the
dishwasher. Corrosion (black staining) may occur on the protective hood if
it is exposed to water for too long.
Care
Occasionally put two or three drops of salad oil on the base of the drive shaft and switch
the appliance on for 2 minutes. Afterwards, rinse it in hot water so that no traces of oil
can get into food.
