until all the oil is melted. After all the oil is melted, the
temperature dial can be set to the desired cooking
temperature. Be careful, never to add too much solid fat
and always ensure that the level is between the min and
max marks. Note – if you do not add enough solid fat, the
reset button may operate as detailed in the above section.
CLEANING
• Unplug the deep fat fryer and wait until the unit is
completely cool before cleaning. Show care when
touching the heating element. This may still be hot after
some time.
• Follow the section 'Dismantling the deep fat fryer'.
• Never use bleaching agents to clean any part of the fryer
(or other strong alkali solutions).
• THOROUGHLY dry all parts after cleaning.
• Change the oil regularly. Pour out the old oil. Please
consider the environment when disposing of the oil.
• After cleaning, follow the section 'Assembling the deep fat
fryer'.
Care of the Control box & Heating Element
• DO NOT IMMERSE THE CONTROL BOX IN ANY LIQUID.
• Do not use strong detergents or abrasive cloths/liquid, as
this will damage the surface of the control box and heating
element
• Clean the surface of the control box by wiping it with a soft
damp cloth. Then, thoroughly dry the surface with a clean
dry cloth
• Once completely cool, wipe any excess oil from the
heating element with a tissue.
