Starting the engine
Prerequisites
•
Apply the parking brake.
•
Bring the forward/reverse control into 0 position.
•
Open the fuel valve.
•
Actuate the choke (only for cold starts).
•
Bring the accelerator lever into middle position.
•
Bring PTO shaft control lever into starting position.
Starting proce-
•
Sharply pull the reversing starter evenly until the engine starts running. Then let the cord
dure
slowly wind up again
or
Turn the starter key to position "2" (max. 3 sec.). Release the key as soon as the engine
starts running, it automatically returns to position "1" (only in combination with an electric
starter).
•
As soon as the motor starts running, slowly push the choke back to its original position
and bring the engine to the desired speed using the accelerator lever.
•
Press dead man's lever downward or hold electronic sensor handle.
•
Release the parking brake.
•
Machine is ready for travel.
Adhere to the instructions in the enclosed operating instructions of the engine manufacturer.
5.3
Turn off the engine
•
Adjust the accelerator lever to the lowest number of revolutions and let the engine run
for 1 or 2 minutes before switching off.
•
Release the dead man's lever or the electronic sensor handles; the engine will switch
off.
•
Turn the starter key from position "1" to "0" (only in combination with an electric starter)
•
Close the fuel valve.
5.4
Starting and stopping
Driving forwards
Slowly turn the forward/reverse control from 0 position to the right until the desired travel
speed is reached.
Reversing
If the forward/reverse control is turned to the left from 0 position, the machine moves back-
wards.
Stopping
The machine is stopped by turning the forward/reverse control slowly back to 0 position.
