OPERATION OF THE ELECTRONIC LEVEL
CONTROL FOR BOILER
When the boiler is empty, the electronic timer, after 3
seconds from switch on, will call for water till to cover
the probes.
The heating elements are switched off till the water has
reached the water level sensor probe.
If after a further 5 minutes the water has not reached
the right level for work, check that the water supply
valve is not closed and if so, open the valve and reset
the machine. If the water supply is correct, first check
the reason why water is not running in the boiler.
For further troubles or anomalies in operation, please
read the chapter "Breakdowns to the boiler and to
electronic level".
In operation when the correct water level is obtained the
heating elements are switched on.
As the water level decreases and the level sensor of 2
probes becomes uncovered, the water pump and inlet
valve are again switched on without switching off the
heating elements that are switched off automatically
when the level sensor of the 3
uncovered.
OPERATION OF THE
THERMOREGULATOR CONDENSATE
RECOVERY TANK
(SEE DRAWING PAGE 10-11)
The condensate recovery tank is not a pressure vessel.
The temperature of the condensate, is controlled by a
thermostat "POS. 55" settled at about 60°C (90°C on
demand).
When the temperature of the recovered condensates
inside the tank exceed the standard allowed, the
solenoid valve "POS. 80" will introduce cold water; in
these cases it can happen that, with the increase of the
level in the tank, water goes outside by the too full pipe
fitting "POS. 7".
SAFETIES OPERATION CONCERNING
OVER-PRESSURE AND OVER-
TEMPERATURE
(VEDI DISEGNO PAG 10-12)
If during the machine operation a too elevated
temperature on the boiler is noticed, through a safety
thermostat disarme the elements of the boiler so that
the boiler pressure goes down up to 0 bar.
A similar device controls the pressure through a safety
limiter pressure gauge and if this shows too elevated
pressure values into the boiler, the elements will be
disarmed and the boiler pressure goes down up to 0
bar. To reset the correct operation, the intervention of
qualified personnel is asked; after have identified and
solved the problem, the qualified personnel has to reset
the device occurred (thermostat and / or pressure) by
acting on the respective reset button.
PROCEDURES TO COMPLETE
SHUTTING DOWN OF THE
MACHINE
(SEE DRAWINGS PAGE 10-10 AND 10-11)
a)
A few minutes before stopping work, turn off the
main switch by "POS. 69" and continue working
until the steam is finished.

b)
When the boiler pressure has dropped below
approximately 1 bar (approximately 15 psi), open
the discharge gate valve "POS. 4", empty the boiler
and then close the gate valve. Turn the boiler on
again, and run in fresh water. As soon as the pump
has stopped, turn the boiler off without draining it.
c)
Turn off the water supply ball valve "POS. 66".
d)
Disconnect the main switch on the electrical current
line.
N.B.: it is advisable to carry out the procedure in b
every evening to ensure a long and efficient boiler life
and to avoid the siphoning-back of water.

MAINTENANCE PROCEDURES

Before proceeding with maintenance procedures,
carefully read the "Safety warnings".
The following instructions are of prime importance in
keeping the machine perfectly efficient, ensuring its
maximum performance, and avoiding expensive down
time.
The first part of this section is divided into chapters
according to periodic maintenance schedules.
N.B.: The frequency indicated (weekly, monthly, etc.) is
indicative and refers to a machine that operates under
'normal' conditions.
The individual customer has to decide on the exact
frequency of the maintenance work on the basis of the
following guide lines:
 the amount of work done by the machine;
 the hardness of the water, which causes a greater or
lesser scaling of the boiler heating element;
 the amount of dust in the air;
 other local working conditions.
All the maintenance operations must be undertaken with
the machine completely switched off, and in particular:
a)
The general electrical power switch must be off and
the plug removed from the socket;
b)
The water supply ball "POS. 66" (see drawing page
10-10) must be closed. The boiler dra6nage valve
"POS. 4" (see drawing page 10-10) must be closed;
c)
The hot parts of the machine must be left to cool
(internal pipes, valves, boiler, etc.) in order to avoid
burns.
In order to make potential dangers more evident,
adhesive symbols have been applied to critical parts of
the machine: the meaning of these symbols is explained
in detail in the red section at the beginning of this
manual (Prescription, danger and indication signals).

WEEKLY MAINTENANCE

Proceed as follows:
a)
Boiler safety valves: check that it does not vent
steam. In the case of a malfunction, replace the
whole safety valve: request the services of a
competent technician
b)
Also check the correct functioning of the gauge,
pressure gauge and pump.
c)
Drain the condensate recovery tank, through the
tap "POS. 6" (see page. 10-11).
