WINDING THE MOVEMENT
To wind the movement, unscrew the crown and turn it (position A) about
35 turns.
SETTING THE TIME
To set the time of your timepiece, you must first set the minutes. Unscrew
the crown and pull out to position B. Then, slowly adjust the minutes
indicator on the arc. When the minutes setting is done, set the hour with
the pusher C.
PRECISION
Precision and average daily rate depend on the activity of the person
wearing the instrument. Magnetic fields (computers, mobile phones,
etc.) may influence the working of a watch. Violent shocks or knocks -
quite common in playing tennis or golf - should be avoided. Because a
mechanical watch is a piece of miniature engineering, consisting of well
over 100 individual parts, its precision will never match that of a quartz
timepiece.
MAINTENANCE
All mechanical watches should have their movement cleaned and the
oil replaced every 3-5 years. The life span of any mechanical timepiece
will primarily depend upon both daily care and the recommended routine
maintenance. We strongly encourage you to have your timepiece serviced
only at officially authorized Ulysse Nardin Customer Service departments.
