REPAIR AND MAINTENANCE

Any maintenance operation must be carried out by qualified personnel in compliance with standard CEI 26-
29 (IEC 60974-4).

Power source and torch maintenance

a proper maintenance both of the power source and the torch, ensures an optimal performance and lengthen the life
of all its components, including consumables. Therefore, we recommend to perform the operations listed in the table
below.
If, during an inspection, a highly worn component part
is found or one that is not working properly, contact the
CEBORA assistance service.
PERIOD
MAINTENANCE OPERATIONS
Daily
• Check the correct pressure of the feed gas.
Weekly
• Check the correct operating of the generator fan;
• Clean torch threads and check that there are no signs of corrosion or electrical discharge
Monthly
• Check the torch wire with respect to cracking, abrasions or losses;
• Check the power cord of the unit about cracks or abrasions.
Every six months
• Clean the air filter every six months, making sure that in the tray E there is no trace of con-
densation;
• Replace the the torch O-ring, ordering art.1398 kit for CP162C torch and art.2002 kit for
CP70C torch.
For maintenance of the inner parts of the power source, request the assistance of qualified personnel. In particu-
lar, it is recommended to periodically perform the following operations.
• Clean the inside with compressed air (clean, dry and oil free) to eliminate dust buildup. If possible, use a vacuum
cleaner;
• In particular, provide to clean with compressed air the IGBT module radiators and the diode assembly, directing the
air jet on them;
• Check that the electrical connections are tight and free of overheating;
• Check the internal pneumatic circuit with regard to cracks or leaks�
Also check periodically the grounding system.

Precautions after repairs

After making repairs, take care to organize the wiring so that there is secure insulation between the primary and sec-
ondary sides of the machine.
Do not allow the wires or the gas pipes to come into contact with moving parts or those that heat up during operation.
Reassemble all clamps as they were on the original machine, to prevent a connection from occurring between the
primary and secondary circuits should a wire accidentally break or be disconnected.
Also mount the screws with geared washers as on the original machine.
