PREPARATION

ADDING SOLUTION
WARNING: DISCONNECT THE POWER CORD
FROM THE ELECTRICAL OUTLET BEFORE ADDING
SOLUTION.
Before each use, check the solution tank filter (Figure
5), recovery nozzle (Figure 6), and spray nozzle (Figure
7) for lodged debris. Be sure the solution tank drain plug
and recovery drain hose are installed (Figure 8).
To add solution, remove the solution tank lid and care-
fully pour. Fill to the bottom of the solution tank's neck,
approximately 7 gallons or 26.5 L.
CAUTION: Solution temperature must not exceed
120°F (49°C). Use non-foaming chemicals only and
be sure to use the correct dilution ratios.
HANDLE ADJUSTMENT
The handle can be set to the desired position by un-
screwing the adjustment knobs, pivoting the handle, and
retightening knobs. (Figure 9).

CONTROLS

VACUUM SWITCH
Turn the vacuum motor on to pick up solution with the
recovery nozzle and collect it the recovery tank.
(Figure 10) 'O' is "OFF" and 'I' is "ON".
PUMP SWITCH
Turn the pump on to pump solution from the tank,
through the spray nozzle to the floor.
(Figure 11). 'O' is "OFF" and 'I' is "ON".
NOTE: This model uses a three position switch and an
indicator light. Pressing the switch to the left gives a con-
tinuous supply of solution. Pressing the switch to the right
gives solution on demand. The indicator light illuminates
for either "ON" position.
BRUSH SWITCH
Turn on to start the floor agitator brush.
(Figure 12). 'O' is "OFF" and 'I' is "ON".
CIRCUIT BREAKER
This protects the brush motor circuit from overloads. If
tripped, stop cleaning, reduce brush pressure using the
brush pressure knob, reset the circuit breaker, and con-
tinue cleaning. If it consistently trips with little or no brush
pressure, unplug machine and check the brush for pos-
sible lodged debris. (Figure 13)

OPERATION

This machine is not intended for use on hard floors.
After filling with solution, plug the power cord into a
grounded outlet. Turn switches on and pull at a slow
steady pace, adjust brush pressure if needed.
BRUSH PRESSURE ADJUSTMENT KNOB
The knob is located in the front of the machine. To add
pressure, turn clockwise as shown "+". To reduce pres-
sure, turn counterclockwise as shown "-" (Figure 14).
CAUTION: Too much pressure may damage car-
pet or overload the brush motor.
BELT CLIP
This prevents the extension cord from disconnecting
during use. Simply loop the cord through the clip and
attach to operator's belt. (Figure 15)
Condensation will build up on the lid at the entrance to
the vacuum tube. If foaming occurs, use an anti-foam-
ing chemical that is suggested with the cleaning chemi-
cal in use.
Overlap cleaning paths. Once the recovery water/foam
level appears below the clear plastic lid, stop to empty
the recovery tank.
CAUTION: Do not allow water or foam to overflow
and enter the vacuum tube on the recovery tank. If
this happens immediately shut off the vacuum mo-
tor, unplug the machine and contact an authorized
service center.
EMPTYING THE RECOVERY TANK
Pull the recovery drain hose off the plug and begin
draining (Figure 8). Empty the recovery tank into a suit-
able water waste drain.
EMPTYING THE SOLUTION TANK
To empty the solution tank, simply pull the solution tank
drain plug (Figure 8). Be sure to empty the solution tank
into a suitable water waste drain. After each use, rinse
the solution tank with water to remove residue.

CLEAN UP AND STORAGE

Store the machine in a cool dry place. Wind the exten-
sion cord in a circle and hang on the cord hook provided
on the machine. Be sure not to wind the cord tighter than
necessary. To prevent bending the brush bristles, store
machine tilted back on rear wheels (Figure 16).
Avoid prolonged exposure of machine to freezing tem-
peratures during storage or transporting.
